Therapeutic, trauma-informed bodywork that combines massage, nervous-system awareness and somatic experiencing to help you reconnect with you body.
Massage used as an entry point into deeper somatic awareness.
Unlike traditional massage therapy, somatic massage uses therapeutic touch as an entry point into deeper awareness of tension patterns, stress responses, sensation, emotion, and nervous system activation held in the body.

Somatic massage is a slower, more collaborative process that combines therapeutic touch with guided awareness of what is happening internally in the body. If you are looking for a full-body relaxation or deep-tissue style massage, somatic massage is likely not the right fit. Sessions often include: focused therapeutic touch, noticing bodily sensations, conversation and reflection, tracking activation and settling patterns, and breath. The massage itself is typically brief and intentional. The deeper focus is understanding what your body may be communicating beneath chronic tension, stress, pain or disconnection.
A Simple, Collaborative Process

Step 1: Begin with Conversation
We start by discussing what's bringing you in and what feels important to explore.
Step 2: Use Touch to Access the Body
Therapeutic massage is used intentionally to help bring awareness to sensation, tension, guarding patterns, and nervous system responses.
Step 3: Explore What Emerges
Together, we slow down and pay attention to what your body is communicating through sensation.

Many people have learned to override their body's signals in order to cope with stress, pressure or emotional overwhelm. Somatic massage creates space to reconnect with those signals safely and gradually. This work integrates principles of somatic awareness, nervous system regulation, and trauma-informed care within the scope of registered massage therapy. Sessions are collaborative, paced carefully, and guided by your body's capacity rather than forcing release or pushing through discomfort. The goal is not simply relaxation, it is greater awareness, regulation and connection to your authentic self.

Hi, I’m Breanne. I’m a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP) and Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) based in Calgary, Alberta. I help people find more ease in their bodies and resilience in their nervous systems—especially after experiences where touch became something complicated, painful, or difficult to trust.
I bring several years of experience as a RMT and hold certifications in trauma-informed bodywork including Somatic Experiencing (SE), Somato-Emotional Release (SER) and i-Rest Yoga Nidra. My approach is slow, grounded, and presence-led. Whether you're here for deep healing or simply a moment of rest, you're welcome.
At Somatic Health and Wellness, I offer more than just massage. I offer a space to land. To reconnect. To feel.
I love working with people who are ready to slow down and listen to their bodies.
You might be a yogi, someone who senses deeply, or someone who’s just beginning to explore the connection between body and mind. Whether you’ve been on this path for years or are only starting to tune in, you’re open to becoming more self-aware—more attuned to your inner world. And you understand that healing isn’t just something that happens in the mind. It lives in the body too.
You’re not looking for someone to fix you. You’re looking for someone to meet you gently, skillfully, and without urgency.
My favourite sessions are with clients who:
If you're someone who’s already doing the inner work and are now looking for a licensed touch practitioner to support your body along the way, we’ll likely be a great fit.

Breanne is a true healer. I really enjoyed and benefited from my somatic experience touch work sessions with her. The body is wise and I found my body responded well to the somatic work that felt subtle but was actually very effective at bringing my body into more ease.
I think everyone could benefit from somatic experience touch work, especially people who have experienced trauma.
I am regular client with Breanne and her sessions help my body to stay pain free and I’m able to continue doing all the activities I love like yoga, biking, skiing and hiking.

The biggest thing I noticed after the session is that my mind feels quiet, and I can finally rest peacefully. I haven’t had that in months. My shoulders and back are still relaxed, and my head feels straight. I feel balanced and at peace with myself. Thank you.

Though difficult to translate into words, my experiences working with Breanne have all been very positive and uniquely insightful with the Somatic Experiencing touch work. Breanne provides an intuitive guidance that is both full of curiosity and exploration, yet very grounded and gentle. Each time I am rewarded with a comfortable and healing experience and Breanne provides treatment with obvious patience and authentic care.

FAQs
Answers to Your Key Questions
Somatic Experiencing is a body-based approach to healing trauma and chronic stress. It supports nervous system regulation by helping you notice and process the physical sensations connected to past overwhelm — without needing to relive or retell your story.
Somatic massage is a gentle, body-centered practice that focuses on increasing awareness of physical sensations to help release stress and stored tension. Rather than working forcefully on muscles, it supports the nervous system through mindful touch, breath, and presence. This approach can help clients feel more relaxed, grounded, and connected to their bodies.
Yes — sessions are designed to meet you where you are. We work slowly and collaboratively, helping you build trust with your body at your own pace. You are always in charge of how much we do and when to pause. This approach is especially supportive for those healing from trauma involving touch or body-based overwhelm.
I prioritize consent, choice, collaboration, and pacing in every session. You’ll never be pressured to go deeper than you want to. My role is to support you in listening to your body and working within what feels manageable.

Not at all. While you're welcome to share what feels important, SE focuses more on what you’re noticing in your body than on telling the story. Many clients find relief in knowing they don’t have to explain or analyze their experience to find healing.
It's best if you wear comfortable clothing that you can move and relax in. During the massage, you’ll be draped with a sheet, with only the area being worked on uncovered at any time. All sessions take place in a calm, quiet, and private treatment space.
That depends on your goals. Some people come weekly or bi-weekly while working through a specific concern. Others come every 6 weeks for ongoing regulation and support. We’ll collaborate on what feels most sustainable and helpful for you.
